BIBR1532 exerts anti-cancer effects on ESCC by inducing DDR through the ATR/CHK1 and ATM/CHK2 pathways and downregulating the expression of telomere-binding proteins.

These findings clarify the cellular mechanisms underlying HPM-induced cell death, potentially advancing therapeutic approaches for treating NSCLC, and a useful first step for future investigations in this area. Moreover, this technique has the potential to serve as an adjunct to non-surgical methods in cancer therapy.

In addition, all T-LBLs demonstrate constitutive expression of pAKT, indicating the presence of activated AKT signaling, and are sensitive to treatment with the pan-AKT inhibitor MK-2206, suggesting that these lymphomas are dependent on pAKT signaling for their survival. This study demonstrates for the first time that the majority of ATM-deficient thymic T-LBLs lose PTEN expression and all depend on AKT signaling for survival, suggesting their potential use as an animal model for PI3K/AKT/MTOR pathway dysfunction in human T-ALL.

Our data suggest that HPV-negative HNSCC with particularly low Ku80 expression represent a highly radiosensitive subpopulation. Confirmation in independent cohorts is required.
